considering our fatigue program is as pilot friendly as possible, i'm not surprised management doesn't like it.
fatigue program i'm familiar with is self-induced vs management induced. currently, we have a no fault fatigue policy so if a pilot calls in fatigue they just get pulled and pay protected. i spoke with a pilot who called in fatigue a couple times because he had a young family and couldn't sleep at night with the kids. he was pulled and paid no questions asked. no sick bank being pulled. they just pulled and paid him. they didn't even ask why he was fatigued.
management has a lot of warts and incompetencies, no need for the union to grasp at straws with the fatigue policy. maybe the fatigue policy will be super anti pilot but i was shocked when i learned that the fatigue policy today doesn't even consider whether the fatigue was self induced vs management induced.
i understand AR needs something to fan the flames and keep playing the political games but i just find this one as a yawner. i guess its better than him talking about all the GRIEVANCES and his perfect arbitration record hahahahaha
