It was only a matter of time. The problem isn’t the policy, it’s the gate agents hijacking the situation and charging for dumb dumb stuff like you see on the Tik tok video. There’s also been reports of them rigging the bag sizers. Frontier has their quota, and right now are just turning a blind eye. It seems like they are taking the 100 dollars now, instead of a future customer down the road. Very short sided in my opinion. This was never going to end well.
Eh. People will adjust with smaller bags that will fit. Or wear layers of clothing. Or something else.

Keep in mind that PILOTS did something similar years ago. Once contracts were constructed to pay by the minute many pilots were “parking” aircraft under the guise of BS Mx problems to get extra $. This isn’t a gate agent issue - it’s a human issue.
