The company cannot arbitrarily assign an SLI scheme just because they own both groups.
Senior regional pilots will demand a big seniority windfall like they're owed something for all their years chained to the oar, and major pilots will only tolerate a deal where they hold their nose with one hand and a stapler with the other. Have fun sorting that out.
Not saying that WO's cannot be absorbed, but it's as quick or easy as one might think.
Why staple when legacies can just hire as they are right now, with everybody coming at Day 1 seniority/longevity? Pilots are only one part of the puzzle. Not super hard for AA to create an ERJ category and hire guys there. Hey they already did once upon a time!
