Not only that, but the Jepp Pro X that Mesa has is the most basic version. Ya'll dont have the dot that shows you where you are in the taxi chart, approach plate, map, all that. and AMM jepp taxi charts which are MUCH cleaner. All other airlines (American, etc.) are allowed to use the GPS position and AMM charts on Jepp for situational awareness. Saved my as* many times in unfamiliar airports. I know there is a work-around to get it, but its a pain in the ass to do it over and over.

American also allows their pilots to connect to the on-board wifi on thier ipad to get the most up-to-date weather, notams, atis, turb, all that.

Lets not forget the helpfulness and ease of PDLC.

Mesa should learn a thing or two from other airlines that reduced workload in the cockpit.

Because mesa is not going to buy you an iPad with a data plan. Without data your iPad is a brick. If they change their minds in that we might get to electronic release signing. Right now no. Thry still waste money printing fa manuals and revisions that could go on a 200.00 tablet that they can charge for and blank if not returned.
