Hi everyone. Trying to make a decision / doing the math. I know things are moving and you can hold lines faster than ever BUT I’m assuming 2 months in training and the rest of the year (if not more) on reserve. Is it easy/doable to make anything above min guarantee that first year?. Does being SC/LC affect your earning potential while on reserve? Or it’s pretty much the same.
I live in a Colorado and I’d have to commute for a year, moving to base after that, either DFW or MIA bases would work.
Im a DEN commuter, but not an FO. Easy to commute to LCR from DEN, SCR will pay 3 more hours a month, but not worth commuting for that. Very possible to fly PM/PR as a commuter with our app process, but I’m not sure how Jr it goes on the FO side. You can put in for PR/PM in any base and choose start times etc. LAX is a pretty easy commute as is DFW, MIA is tough, but I’d definitely move there over DFW if I were you (personal preference). Commute to DFW then pick the base you want to live in.
