Apparently sharing honest feedback isn’t welcome around here, even when acknowledging how good we have it. I guess it would be better if no one said anything and Alaska sits there wondering why they have recruiting and attrition problems.
Reality is that it's very rare to find an experienced professional turbine pilot without an ATP. Even in 91, insurance is a factor. I can imagine circumstances where it could happen, just not needed at the gigs you wound up in but at face value on internet forums it looks like low experience. Also when applying to any top or second tier major it almost goes without saying that you should get the ATP, unless they specifically offer a CTP program like the regionals.
