I kept telling myself it was only a matter of time. But once I hit 500 hours turbine PIC and the supposed +3,000 hour total time benchmark I started to question if some of the “stuff” I had been hearing out on the line was actually true. So applied to Delta, American, and Southwest thinking maybe one or two would call in a month or two.

All three sent me interview invites within a week after submission. Southwest less than 48 hours and they had interview dates available within 5 days of the invite. I did eventually receive official job offers from all three.

Please don’t be me and sell yourself short. I think you should apply to three or four carriers you could see yourself flying at until retirement. Have your application professionally reviewed, submit, and let fate determine the rest.

United is a phenomenal airline, but once you receive invites from a few other and start doing your own research you’ll realize we are blessed with more than a few phenomenal legacy and major airliners in the US. I decided on AA for personal reasons and seniority progression.

Oh hey by the way, all three of those interviews I met more than a few corporate men and women with zero Turbine PIC. They are definitely hiring 135 pilots.

Good luck brother!

Thanks man I appreciate the positivity, I need it right now. I had a Delta CJO fall through in January from the psychologist. A few weeks ago had a no thanks from SWA. So not sure what I'm doing wrong, I think I'm a pretty normal dude to fly with like 99% of pilots.
