For me personally, it’d be more stressful watching over the other pilot while handling the emergency than just doing it myself. We’ve handled the radios while flying, no big deal. The emergency is an additive condition.
I think what will be addressed is leaving the seat to do the swap out with the captain.
Hopefully SWA will address procedures for this type of event in training.
