Not to anyone on this thread specifically, but based on some comments I’ve see , Y’all just hate FOs. If the above headline were true you’d all clap at such a sage and wise captain for using all resources to save Jr.


“class act right there” you’d all say.

The FO was the PIC regardless of which seat they were in. They didn’t give up control, they made a command decision to use all resources to safely land the airplane. This isn’t hard.
BS, but nice gaslighting, though. It has nothing to do with whose seat it was, but whether it was the proper procedure. Many airlines prohibit what he did, as far as I remember this scenario didn’t come up in training at SWA.
