I think you're correct. I believe the only "Real Time"/instant tool in TTS-RTT is when a trip is OPEN and you want to do a straight pickup (SP) - you can pick it up instantly by clicking the shopping cart icon. Same goes for trading with open time if the parameters are conducive (for example, you have a 2-day trip on 1-2 April and want a 3-day trip that is OPEN and covers 1-3 April, click the shopping cart icon and the trade happens instantly).
Note about LiteSabre pilot-to-pilot trades - you can do that even if you have the free (unpaid) version of LiteSabre. It will let you do immediate pilot-to-pilot trading but not pickup/drop in the free version.
