Extending the retirement age exacerbates the sins of the past and rewards it. If they think infrastructure is racist, then it’s an easy conclusion that a date of hire seniority list created pre DEI needs run it’s course as fast as possible.
If WIA, OBAP, and NGPA , can campaign they have 3 times as many members on the bottom half of the seniority list, vs the top half, it shows extending retirement age is just extending income inequality.
Now we just have to figure out how to also spin this into an anti-global warming bill. Then it will surely be defeated!

There are no Democrat cosponsors but it is supported by at least two of them.
The legislation first proposed last year by Senator Lindsey Graham and other Republicans now includes Democrats Joe Manchin and Mark Kelly, a former Navy pilot and astronaut.

As a stand alone piece of legislation, this probably doesn’t go anywhere. But the timing of it being proposed now suggest it’ll be part of the broader FAA reauthorization bill that will be negotiated in the next five months.
