I wouldn’t blame him/her if they did…. It’s NOT ALL GRAVY over there.
Best I heard from a retired 0-6 when I was there. Was, it’s like being on a 25-30 deployment…do you want to live your next 25-30 years working like you are deployed???

For those of you that aren’t former military: that means, “YES, THIS SUCKS - BUT SUCK IT UP AMD GET THE MISSION DONE”

Not how I want to work for the next 30 years…. But keep telling yourself how great it is on the dark side.

But it all depends on how you look at it and what your expectations are…
