The current generation of kids graduating (or about to), have seen some pretty good times. Many of my airline pilot friends have kids who think their Dad's don't work. They get to non-rev across the US for vacation, as well as volleyball/soccer/baseball tournaments....they've also been on multiple vacations to Europe and Asia. Many drive cars nicer than my current vehicle, let alone the beaters we all drove as kids lol. Heck when I was growing up, we rarely even left the county we lived in, and the first time I stepped foot on an airliner was when I was 18, headed to basic training. I'd have loved to have the experiences this kids have had when I was their age.
This career isn’t anything I thought it would be . Would have been much more cool to be flying the 727’s back in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.
