True. Prior to C.S.'s (VP of FLT Ops or Chief Pilot at the time, can't remember) creation of this substitution policy in our FCH if your trip was cancelled you got paid for it. Plain and simple. You could pick up a draft trip for the same foot-print and make 2.5 times your normal pay rate. Somehow it(this policy) made it into the first FPA CBA and it's been that way ever since.
