How hard is it to get a meet and greet with a chief pilot? I live in Denver, know a couple of UAL pilots, I’m guessing they would be able to set that up? I’m guessing a meet and greet would help speed my application along. Thanks in advance!
Yes talk to your friend(s) there. They can contact the CP Office and submit your resume with a nice Letter of Rec. It took about 4 months from when my friend submitted my stuff until I actually met the CP.
Within 5-7 days of the meeting I got the Hogan Invite. I completed that a few days later and the very next morning was invited to schedule my interview. In my case things moved quick afterwards.
They explain that the meeting doesn’t automatically get you an interview, but that it does give your application points. If you’re close it most likely moves you across the finish line. That was the case for me, thankfully.
It was a really cool experience so if your able to do one definitely do it!
