1. I lived in Indiana
2. The education at Purdue is more well-rounded.
- What I mean by that is the degree curriculum has classes on ATC, airport management, airline management, etc. It's not just flying an airplane. Not to mention Purdue is a large university, so you can take just about any other classes you want. Everything from Business to engineering to religion.
3. 2 years of 727 systems, advanced navigation and training in full motion 727 sims.
4. The AFROTC program at Purdue is one of the top in the nation. 80% of those who apply for a pilot slot in the air force get it. The national average is much lower.
5. Every flight student gets KingAir B200 time. Usually about 10hrs.
6. The staff there is amazing, experienced (all have been in the industry), and want to see you succeed.
7. Job placement is high. They have some great connections there. I'm sure Riddle is the same way though.
8. I wanted to go somewhere with a large university atmosphere, not a small, specialized private private college.
9. ERAU was gonna cost $100,000. I came out of Purdue with NO student debt.
10. Big Ten sports!
Hope this helps. If you want the contact info of some profs there, let me know.
