Decent amount that do DTW make the drive instead of flying, I’ve heard the commute is down to a couple RJ’s a day and a decent amount of senior commuters. How people drive 4 hours home immediately after a trip is beyond me, but to each their own.
I flew with a Champion (7ER Captain) who had a tee time at his country club in CVG area late morning, and after our red eye from (I can’t remember west coast) to DTW, he was going to get in his car and drive straight to his club in CVG area and play 18 holes. That’s dedication to the game. God bless him.
