It all depends on who you want to fly for...

Many asian airlines will hire you with US regional jet experience and US ratings (ex. Emirates). They may then train you to qualify for JAA or other local certificates (ex. Cathay).

European airlines will require a JAA ATPL (or frozen ATPL), but this is a moot point... in most cases unless you hold citizenship by birth and have connections you will not get hired by BA, AF, Lufthansa, etc. Ryaniar does hire foriegners, I think, but not sure what you need to do to get EU right-to-work.

Realistically you are probably looking at asian airlines, and will need at least several thousand hours in an RJ to qualify. Cathay hires a few relatively low-time pilots, but the competetion is fierce. Wouldn't hurt to check out their web site though.
