While I agree…ribbons have been given out like candy for years. Army/Navy/CG junior enlisted will have 3 rows having never even left their base.

For years the USMC had only one “gimme” which was the National Defense. Then the GWOT came along. Other than that it was just the good cookie after a few years.

*This doesn’t include the O ranks of O5 and above and their HABU ribbons (bronze stars.)*
