The problem is that they are pilots not insurance agents. Like I said, if a company is willing to pay the increased premium for their insurance anything is possible(to an extent). If it smells fishy to you I dont know what to say. I have no reason to lie, it does nothing for me. Trust me in saying this, that there are alot of corp. pilots out there flying with low time, and it is only a myth that you have to have high times in order to fly corp. aviation.
Jetjock...in your defense, I personally know a Sabreliner captain that was hired as PIC with 250 hours; the ink still wet on his commercial MEL certificate. Whether or not this is safe is another question, but it happens.
