Either way Newark at its worst is still better than philly at it's best plus nyc is across the river.
Everyone in the area knows Kensington is by far the worst part of Philly. Just two neighborhoods over you start to find some of the nicest parts of the city. I’m under no grand illusion about the city in general, but that definitely isn’t fair representation of anything.
