And i conjered up that "Vietnam/65" thing myself, i was just curious...
Define "lucky". Yes, I have a job at a regional airline...if that's your version of lucky than your luck is worse than mine.

The Vietnam/65 thing is something that has been shoved down all of our throats for years. It's a pipe dream. The cold, harsh reality is the only shortage of pilots is for retards like us willing to fly a jet for peanuts.

There's no "change" on the horizon...we will continue to fight amongst ourselves determining who the current bottom-feeder is based on pay rates with a difference of only 2-3 dollars. Some major things need to happen to fix the regional level for pilots (i.e. one seniority list, a national union, the abolition of the RLA, etc.) RAH (that's me) will get a better contract and maybe negotiate ourselves right out of the industry so that someone else can do our flying. When that company gets a better contract, the next one will come along and pick up their flying. That's the way the regional's work and it's BS. Give this industry a shot if it's your dream. But make sure you back up your dream with a little dose of reality...and the reality is you may get here and not like it.
