Question for the hive..
With SFO WB as my goal, would it be foolish to prioritize aircraft over base when selecting? Hypothetically lets say there are no WB SFO slots when its time to pick, but there is an EWR 787 or 777. Would it be foolish to take an EWR WB spot with the hope of bidding back to SFO relatively quickly? Or would it be a safer bet to take something like SFO 320 and save WB for down the road.

If you really want widebody slot then just take widebody. SFO 777 is very junior right now you can expect that out of training. If the only drop in your class is EWR 777 and you don’t mind commute to reserve for a few months, you can expect SFO 777 award on the next vacancy bid. I would personally recommend pick anything smaller in SFO, and bid over to SFO 777 during the first vacancy bid. That way you get 777 and don’t have to commute.
