There is no mention of income tax being abolished in OK. Current rate is 4.75% for income over 12.2k(7.2k for single filers).

As you said…they will get the money one way or another…income tax or property/sales tax. The difference is that if you’re a very high wage earner and live in a modest home…you pay far less overall taxes in a place like TX than OK at this time.
