As you said…they will get the money one way or another…income tax or property/sales tax. The difference is that if you’re a very high wage earner and live in a modest home…you pay far less overall taxes in a place like TX than OK at this time.

In a little googling, it looks like there was some sort of push there but it failed. Prob where he got it from (or perhaps from a realtor overplaying it). He’s a high wage earner. Future conversations on this should be fun.
