The only major I know of that has seniority for the FDJ is United. I came from there and let me tell you we DO NOT want that. You can never plan your commute because senior dudes are the absolute least likely party to list in a timely manner. You can pretty much plan on being bumped last minute. I usually went offline because it was so bad.
Delta is time of check in FCFS for the FDJ, cabin is seniority. I believe a Delta pilot can book it like we do if it’s a mainline A/C.
AA is time of check in (FCFS) for the cabin and FDJ. Mainline pilots can reserve the jump on mainline A/C but within their D2WP status I believe they’re still subject to checking in 24 hours prior.
UPS is a bookable jumpseat just like we have, but they get bumped from time to time considering how much they deadhead on brown tails.
What the OP said about the mechanics being BP4 is an entirely different issue, but seniority is NOT the answer here or anywhere.
