"Unsustainable" - OK. Pretty sure ATI has been sustaining 60 hours going places that are considerably less appealing than Rockford for many years now. Never mind that Kalitta and Atlas both guarantee 64 hours per month, ABX is 65, and it seems to me Amerijet is about the same, as is 21 Air. Within ACMI, which is the only place it makes sense to make comparisons, you're looking at around 780 hours per year.

The number on your paycheck is what it is. Whether you understand it or not, that is what was negotiated. If you had negotiated for a higher guarantee, the hourly rate would have been adjusted to make the number at the end come out the same. That's what the company cares about - what you cost, not how it's accounted for. (Although as I previously stated, the company is unlikely to set a guarantee the differs significantly from the amount you're likely to fly, and it benefits you nothing to do so.) So with that in mind, why do you care whether your monthly pay is divided into 60 pieces or 72 pieces?
