I think I finally have everything I need to know. As previously suggested, if I do get to UA, I can go IAH 320 to start, then probably IAH WB within a couple of years, and I won't mind being on reserve because I can drive there!

Thank you to everybody who helped me figure this out. Seriously, it could be very impactful for me to know this, and it took a lot of detailed information for me to get to this point.
Why are you set on 320's vs 737's? Seniority is more or less the same but slightly better on the 73 side, and yes the 73 cockpit isn't great, but the trips are better. Even if you set all that aside look at the sheer size of the bases.

IAH 320 has 144 FO's to trade trips with, or to pick up their trips, or who can pick up your trips.
IAH 737 has 664 FO's to trade/trade/pick up. That's 500 more pilots that could be willing to help you out if you can't get a certain day off or could be dropping their trips giving you a chance to hustle and make more money.

IAH 737 is the fastest growing BES in the company and 737 is the fastest growth airframe. I would certainly go 73's while you wait for WB's
