You’re always most likely to get the contract that you want by going to the carrier that has it. I’ve got a bunch of buddies at Delta. They’re all happy there and a bunch bid Captain ASAP and got it at the 7-8 month mark. There’s not the level of dread that you get talking to UAL pilots about upgrading while junior. They’ve got excellent work rules at Delta which really increase their earnings potential and quality of life.
