That was brought up by the union recently. The company is approaching the point of having no choice but to pursue RATP pilots. Nobody qualified and holding a full ATP is coming here without a good reason to when they can go to the usual suspects with the ink still wet on their certificates.
I think they dropped the ball with 1st year pay when a lot of short sighted regional pilots will see it as taking a pay cut for a "non legacy"... especially when you consider COL of our bases
