Just did it. To say it was a weak was an understatement.
It was designed to use the NEO CPDLC so we just looked at slides in the cockpit.
The instructor also has never flown international.
United is kind of dropping the ball. They expect airbus instructors to be able to teach ORCA/Int’l, even though the bus has never had that flying.
If United wanted its pilots to get quality instructing, I personally think they need to bring in an instructor with widebody experience to teach the lesson and have a SIM that can actually do it. They’re shorting the students, and every student who goes through it should leave negative feedback about it until it gets changed
