Retro not Retro comes. It was 5 figures before Uncle Sam took a 35% bite and ALPA took their cut. Barely paid off the debt.
Clear as mud?
Yes that sounds grueling. You do a good job of affixing blame to a lot of other people and events. Not sure your experience is that typical but it is personal for you and I get that.
I am curious why you might need to sell the house and kids go hungry when you were in a marginal 35% tax bracket which starts at $431,900 for 2022(Married filing jointly) Sounds like you hit the jackpot on 1st year pay since you stated you made $159K in 2021 as a FO/Capt?? at Allegiant. Good job! You made in year 1 what I made in year 33 at retirement, congratulations. Seems like you ought to be a bit more positive about your 1 year at Delta instead of dragging your past excess baggage around, but that's just my opinion.

So, yea clear as mud. I truly hope you can enjoy your remaining years at Delta. Sounds like you are off to a phenomenal start after your delay(s) that hampered your arrival.
