Maybe it’s time to put some of those airplanes parked in the desert back to life for a year or 2. Send the bill to Boeing and Airbus or the engine manufacturer respectively. My understanding is if the engines are still on a parked plane it can be resurrected. Delta and AA could bring back the mad dog !
