I've been commuting from ECP for 9.5 years. It's not an easy commute but workable. Most panhandle commuters fly out of HOU. Personally I bounce between DAL and HOU based on flight schedules. You have to look at flight schedules before the monthly vacancy bid closes to see which once sucks the least. SWA changes the flights into ECP alot and they have figured out the seasons here.....pretty decent flights during summer, poor number of flights in the off season. Jan and Feb can be rough. This year they cut all the direct flights to HOU for those two months. Bottom line is that it's tolerable, just need to be flexible. Some guys bid back to back 3-days, so you only commute twice a month.
