Default FDX - May08 Disputed Pairings

ALPA's founders chose "Schedule with Safety" as our motto.

The SIG/PSIT is Scheduling for OUR Safety !!
Support them in upholding the standard -- Don't fly disputed pairings!

Remind those you know who fly disputed pairs, either by force or by choice, to fill out a Critique Sheet on their experiences (or email/call the SIG) so they have some ammunition for the disputed pairs resolution
process.

Disputed Pairings for May 2008

The following is the FedEx MEC’s definitive list of the pairings that are disputed for May 2008. These pairings should not be available in any bid pack lines and should not be assigned to any secondary lines without a specific request, by pairing number, from the crewmember to do so. The comments associated with the disputes are those of the ALPA SIG/PSIT.

(ANC-NRT-NGO sequence) For the third consecutive month, we are disputing the ANC-NRT-NGO sequence. The PSIT feels this sequence is onerous, and is opposed to long/short duty periods utilizing an RFO. We feel the RFO has little use on the first leg and no use on the second. This dispute, in the coming weeks, will be moving forward to the next step in the process. For those of you unfamiliar with what this means, please reference CBA, Section 25.BB, specifically parts E, F, and G. If you have flown this sequence recently, we are very interested in your comments and thoughts. Please get this information to us as soon as possible.

#28/15 May

(ANC-NRT-NGO same duty sequence) This pairing is scheduled to operate ANC-NRT-NGO after a short layover in ANC. The PSIT believes a longer layover is necessary prior to operating this sequence. This is a one-time pairing operating on May 15. Any crewmember that ends up flying this is requested to submit feedback via a Pilot Ops Report along with sleep logs. Remember to copy the SIG on all reports.

#321/7 May

The PSIT believes this pairing does not have sufficient layover time in ANC after the ONT-OAK-ANC hub turn prior to operating ANC-MEM. Any crewmember that ends up flying this one-time pairing on May 7 is requested to submit feedback via a Pilot Ops Report along with sleep logs. Remember to copy the SIG on all reports.
