I don’t understand the reluctance to improve while we can. Why do so many here have that head in the sand attitude?
That is precisely the problem. This isn’t the time. It’s the absolute wrong time. According to what we’re being told is that we’ve secured big gains in our biggest asks during this negotiation cycle.
The problem is the environment turned ugly. Freight is down everywhere. Many categories are at min BLGs. The 757 will soon be over staffed. The company announced a big savings plan while also showcasing a new network which relies much less on aircraft.

All these city pairs are flying which FDX Seniority List pilots have lost.
If I read UPS's Scope posted on another thread correctly, under that language, all of this flying would have been protected. If the IPA can secure that language, why can't ALPA?
As our Scope stands now, intra-Asia flying seems like the next logical step in the flying that our Seniority List will lose. Doesn't bode well either for those first 20 lines in the MEM 767 bidpack.
Are they down gauging aircraft because of less freight?
The company is still saying that they’re committed to supporting European 757 flying from the USA.
I agree with y’all on the scope issue. I wish fifth freedom rights were codified in the contract. It’s a big problem. We’ll lose any chance of having a decent contract, forget industry leading, We’re at the NMB stage and it’s played out … only one step away from striking and that is in progress as I type.
