Careful what you ask for. If 10 years of MEM RA is what you're looking for, you might just get it. If and when things turn around, there will be people coming in on top of you for a very long time.
Many of us who bid it, did so at 100% and yes we were aware people would bid on top of us and we'd be stuck on reserve. We took it based on the long standing Airline Pilot rule to "Never Pass Up an Upgrade". Why should you never pass up an upgrade? This.
I bid it as one of the last 10 on the 757 list a few bids ago and now this bid happened so I won't be on the very bottom. It looks to me like I'll probably be able to hold lines starting next month on Secondary but most months I'd like to be on reserve. I moved to MEM so that I could bid things at 100%, sit reserve, and not work. RA is fine with me. All of us in MEM need yall to take up all that night flying so we don't have to do it.
