I'm on the Challenger and I just grab what I need and stow my flight bag in the baggage compartment. There is a small compartment next to each seat, but it isn't that big. It holds a fair amount, but my flight bag won't fit like it did in the CRJ's I used to fly. If you forgot something or need to go grab batteries for the ANR headset, it's accessible in flight unless the pax have a crap ton of bags back there....lol!
