Anyone out there that can share their experience on how PB day was handled and also any pay implications. Sorry to sound ignorant I have been lucky enough to avoid rerouted during my time here at Delta and am unfamiliar with how it all plays out. Here is the breakdown.
Rerouted enroute on 2nd to last leg of 4-day trip
day 5 of trip is one leg deadhead back to base on golden x-day
thanks in advance!
This pretty much exact thing happened to me. Wife and I had plans to leave town the next morning and had to delay by 8 hours. I called the Union on it and was told that the Company has to make every effort not to do this! Haha. There is no real way to check every effort. And it was unfortunately a fly now grieve later according to the Union scheduling expert I talked to. I ended up getting quite a bit of extra money. Paid for the extra leg on day 4, paid for the DH home on day 5 and paid 5:15 extra for the reroute. Took away a LITTLE bit of the sting.
