just talk on the radio like you got your private more than a week ago. The number of pilots I’m running into that literally can not function on the radio is mind blowing. I remember my first day in a jet at an airline and I don’t remember the radio being a struggle at all. The littlest things like calling for push seem to be next to impossible for more than a few these days and it’s maddening.
I'd say 9 out of 10 guys I fly with don't check in with ground and/or approach with the ATIS letter, causing the controller to ask if we have it. Why is that so hard?
