Who says the company is actually going to automatically pay people? Still might have to file an ACE and wait 4 months for the union to actually contact them because they ignore your contact. The old contract was supposed to be "they violate 23M7? Get paid." I know that isn't exactly apples to apples, but there is no teeth to keep the company from continuing their current wage theft. Literally zero penalty for them not paying properly.
