Dude has a Class date with Delta. Why on earth should he pass on what’s known to be good about to gamble on a bunch of conjecture about UALs potential next pilot contract? Too many unknowns. As it stands now from what was published on the negotiations updates DAL WB reserve rules blow UALs out of the water and he lives too far away to sit UAL short call at home… if he could sit short call at home, vs a 4.5hr drive to DAL to fly every time, it would probably be worth it to go UAL, but not out of IND now with the reserve rules that UAL has. I hope UAL beats every part of DALs contract, but I wouldn’t bet a career choice that they’d even match it in areas I found important. If they do the OP can always apply in the future after getting the full picture from both contracts.
I never said don’t go to Delta. Of course he has too because right now it’s the only choice he has.
United hasn’t called him …..yet.
Some of you are so wrapped up in this contract BS that you are lost in the woods. United will get a contract on par with Delta. Why would the pilot group vote yes on anything less?
do me a favor and look back 37 years and tell me this is how you saw the airline industry ending up.
choose an airline that you want to spend your career at and settle in for the ride.
