The Western Global AMS base was formed as a reward for some long-serving Dutch pilots who help with anti-ALPA activities and the recruitment of foreign contract pilots. You will not get a foreign base (other than possibly ICN) as a new hire. The flight operations managers will promise anything to get you to join, but when your training is complete, HR will never change your base away from the US address they force you to maintain. Many have already resigned over this issue.
Other than ICN, WG doesn’t fly into to its overseas bases anyway. You’ll start/end your duty with a long, middle seat economy deadhead to wherever they need you most.
