why does Delta not want to open up a Texas or Florida base? Seems like a ton of pilots live in those states and lots of business opportunities are there.
We really don't have the critical mass anywhere in TX. AUS would have been great, but AA swooped in and ate our lunch while we watched and did nothing. MCO would definitely work, as would FLL/MIA but the company seems to have no appetite for it. Let's see how the opening of BOS goes this year, if it happens. If successful, perhaps they will take another look at FL.
