UA opening LAS and MCO has nothing to do with domestic network growth. They have no plans to add additional service to either city. Their level of operations in LAS is comparable to ours, and less than ours in MCO.
There are at least half a dozen cities where we could open pilot bases under our current network, without any network changes whatsoever. The only thing stopping that is our current flight ops management team.
Agreed on the first paragraph and I think the 18 hour LC was a hey we’re not going to open new bases, but you can basically sit reserve anywhere in the country. That, to me, was Delta’s answer to the “we want more bases” crowd.
