Check the usual real estate apps and maybe Facebook marketplace for available places. Waikiki or near the base may be the cheapest, but don’t be surprised when prices are 3-4 times what you wanted to spend on a crash pad… sorry I can’t be more help. It’s an unfortunate reality of living here.
There is a hotel in Waikiki that is somewhere in the $100/night range and waives the resort fee for HA people. Also has transportation to/from the airport (Uber is roughly $30 w/tip)
Might not be good for training, but once on line it may be better and cheaper than a crashpad?
