The 190s aren’t going away as fast as we all think they are. The 220 has engine problems and because of that engines are hard to come by. I was just reading an article that some small carriers who only operate a few of them as that’s all they have for a fleet are grounded. They don’t have engines to replace because there aren’t any. The PW1500 is the only option for that airplane so that whole program lives or dies on PW. If I were Airbus I’d be figuring out a way to maybe get a version of the CFM leap on that plane
Agree the delivery delays could kick the retirement plan a year or two down the road. Fortunately we have flexibility since we own 30 of the airframes.
