Collective bargaining only works if it is collective. But is sucks to carry the people that think they could do better on their own. Maybe some could, but they still destroy the environment. Companies bargain as an entity, labour should do the same.
At my last company we had pilots that opted out of the union because of sour grapes and still collected retro after the new contract. Unacceptable.
