This is very important for everyone new to this game to understand. It's always the case with vacancy bidding, but even more especially here....you need to have been looking at the vacancy awards the last six months to get a feel on the direction your desired category is moving 3 to 6 months into the future.

But you also need to analyze the demand side of the equation, not just the pilot supply: To make solid, long-term decisions you need to to have a solid grasp of the fleet transition plans and how they affect fleet staffing requirements (not just overall, but within each base). Also how the COVID rebound, delivery hiccups (787,737Max), and MX/AD groundings (777, 737Max) create short-term irregularities...

The present is just a momentary glitch in the matrix.
