The new FOs are honestly mostly great. I have had a few legs where I felt like I was flight instructing again, but mostly it's just a former skywest guy or gal saving me from myself by being my seeing eye dog taxiing in ORD.
Same experiences at my place. The only issues I really have is the experience side. The you simply don’t know what you don’t know aspect. It’s noticeable when you’ve got an FO with 4-5+ thousand hours vs one with 2ish.
The former is less humble but more capable, the latter tends to be humble and sharp, but with zero experience safety net.
